Walk Eagle Harbor from the public beach to Anderson Dock, visit Ephraim's seasonal history sites and galleries, or cross into Peninsula State Park for Eagle Tower, rocky trails, Nicolet Bay, and bike routes.
Eagle Harbor shoreline
Walk Water Street between Ephraim Public Beach, Village Hall, Harborside Park, the visitor center, Firehouse Dock, and Anderson Dock. The route mixes sand, civic lawns, marina activity, historic buildings, and open views toward Peninsula State Park rather than one continuous boardwalk.
Anderson Dock and the Hardy Gallery
The 1858 dock and its painted warehouse are Ephraim's clearest landmark. The Hardy Gallery uses the building in season, while the pier remains a close look at the village's boating history. Follow the Village of Ephraim's current rules before adding any painted boat name.
Five small history sites
The Ephraim Historical Foundation interprets the Anderson Store, Anderson Barn, Pioneer Schoolhouse, Goodletson Cabin, and Iverson House. Openings and tours are seasonal, but the buildings, Moravian cemetery, and white church streets still make a coherent village walk when interiors are closed.
Eagle Tower or Eagle Trail
Peninsula State Park begins immediately south of the village. Eagle Tower has stairs and an accessible canopy walk; Eagle Trail drops through steep, rocky ground below limestone cliffs. Both begin near Eagle Bluff, but only the trail requires a rocky descent and climb.
Nicolet Bay and park shoreline
Nicolet Bay adds a sand swimming area, picnic space, seasonal rentals, accessible beach facilities, and a fishing pier. Wisconsin DNR states that the beach has no lifeguard. Wind, cold water, and current rental hours matter before swimming or launching a boat.
Biking through the park
The 9.6-mile Sunset Bike Route follows relatively flat fine gravel through woods and Weborg Marsh. Purpose-built mountain bike trails are a separate outing with their own skill range, trail-pass rule for riders 16 and older, and wet-weather status checks.

Beach, village history, and Anderson Dock
The village's main sights sit along a compact stretch of Water Street. Start at the public beach, continue through Harborside Park and the marina edge, then finish at Anderson Dock. Add the historical foundation's small museums when they are open rather than assuming every interior operates daily or year-round.

Tower views, cliff trails, beach, or bikes
Peninsula State Park can be a gentle tower-and-bay outing or a strenuous Eagle Trail day. The park also has scenic roads, the Sunset Bike Route, mountain bike trails, overlooks, golf, and seasonal water recreation. Check Wisconsin DNR conditions before counting on the tower, rentals, concessions, or a specific trail.
