Green Bay is the closest practical commercial-airport approach. The drive continues through Sturgeon Bay and up the Door Peninsula; compare rental-car hours with late flight arrivals.
Milwaukee and Chicago offer broader flight and rail choices but add a much longer road leg. Weekend traffic, construction, and winter weather can make the last miles less predictable.
Wisconsin 42 carries the main approach through Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, and Fish Creek before following Ephraim's waterfront. Slow down for village traffic, cyclists, pedestrians, and seasonal congestion.
